Program Chapters

We explore these questions in reference to the passage of time, in reference to your relationships with others and in reference to your personal development. While there is a logic to following the Chapters in order, we leave it up to the participant and the parent mentor to decide in which direction to take this journey. We do stress, however, the importance of completing each Section and its Activities before moving on to the next one. And while each Section is self-contained, we encourage you to find and explore connections across sections and chapters.
Section 1
What is the difference between religion and tradition? What do you know about the Jewish religion and the ancient and recent history of the Jewish people.
Do you know what is a "moledet"? What ties a person to their "moledet"? What makes it unique? It's religion? It's history? It's geography? Does everyone have a 'moldedet'? Why is Israel the home of the Jewish people?
Where are your parents from? And their parents? What do you know about your family's traditions? What chain of events brought your family to where it is today?

Section 2
How much do you know about yourself? Are you the same you you have always been? What helps you learn new things about yourself?
How many relationships do you have? Describe your personal relationships? Are they independent of each other or are they connected somehow?
What does it mean to be rich? Is there only one kind of richness? How easy is it to distinguish between poor people and rich people? What are my privileges? What are my responsibilities? Are you rich or are you poor?

Section 3
Look into the future- what is in store for you? In what way is adulthood different from childhood? Do you know what to expect?
You are entering adulthood; what type of adult do you wish to be? What would you like to achieve as an adult? What are your dreams for yourself? As an individual? As a member of society?
Now that you have explored who you are and who you want to become, what needs to change in order for you to get there? What responsibilities do you need to fulfill and which should you be able to expect in return?
