Chapter 4
Be Your Strongest Asset
"With realization of one's own potential and self-confidence in one's ability, one can build a better world."
"If you are not a better person tomorrow than you are today, what need have you for a tomorrow?"
Contrary to what you may be thinking, these two quotes are not from the same person. One is from Rabbi Nachman of Breslov and the other is from...the Dalai Lama. At first glance, it's hard to imagine two more different individuals, representing two totally different faiths, and yet they are curiously complementary in these quotes.

Consider these quotes in the context of your Bar Mitzvah and discuss them with your parent:
* How is the subject of self-confidence in your potential and your abilities related to your Bar Mitzvah?
* In which parts of your life do you feel it is important to strive to be a better person?
* Where, in your daily routine, do you make an effort to be better?

It's never too early to pursue your passion. Here are some unique teens who realized, early on, how they wanted to leverage their potential and blazed a new path by staying focused on making it happen.
